We offer a range of non-blood pathology tests, including urine, stool, swab and semen tests, with samples processed by accredited laboratories.

Please note that these tests require a GP Consultation, as we take the responsibility of ensuring the correct test is ordered and that a clinical assessment is made to best understand the results in context.

We ensure to send the results in a confidential link via email as soon as they are available. If any of the tests are abnormal we will ask one of doctors to call you without any fee.

Most popular urine, stool & swab tests

  • A urine MCS (microscopy, culture and sensitivity) examines a urine sample for white and red blood cells, bacteria and other abnormalities, identifies any infection and determines which antibiotics are most effective.

  • Urine microscopy examines a urine sample for red and white blood cells, bacteria, crystals, casts and other microscopic abnormalities.
    (Results 1 day)

  • A stool test that detects Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) antigen, helping identify an infection that can cause gastritis, indigestion and stomach ulcers.

  • A stool test for bacteria, ova, cysts and parasites (OCP), helping detect intestinal parasites and abnormal bacteria that may cause diarrhoea, abdominal pain and other digestive symptoms.
    Results 2 - 3 days.

  • A throat swab collects a sample from the back of the throat and tonsils to identify bacteria causing infection and help guide appropriate treatment.

  • A wound swab collects a sample from a wound or infected area to identify bacteria or other microorganisms that may be causing infection and help guide appropriate treatment.

  • A vaginal swab collects a sample from the vagina to identify bacteria (BV), yeast (Candida) that may be causing infection or abnormal discharge.

  • A sexual health screen using blood and urine samples to test for HIV, syphilis, chlamydia and gonorrhoea.
    Results 2 days.

  • A sexual health screen using first catch urine sample to test for chlamydia and gonorrhoea in men and women.
    Results 6 hours.

  • A FIT (faecal immunochemical test) analyses a stool sample for tiny amounts of blood that may indicate bleeding in the bowel and can help assess the risk of bowel conditions, including bowel cancer.

  • A laboratory analysis of a semen sample assessing sperm count, concentration, motility, morphology and other factors relevant to male fertility.

  • A skin, nail or hair sample is tested for fungal infections, including dermatophytes, using microscopy and PCR to identify fungal DNA.
