Sports Health Check
A comprehensive assessment designed for active individuals, amateur athletes, and sports enthusiasts seeking to optimise performance, identify potential health risks, and reduce the likelihood of injury.
Why Have a Sports Health Check?
Whether you are training regularly, preparing for an event, returning to exercise, or simply looking to improve performance, understanding your current health and physical condition can help you train more effectively and safely. The Sports Health Check provides an in-depth review of cardiovascular fitness, physiological performance, and key health markers that may influence athletic performance and recovery.
Comprehensive Medical Assessment
Your assessment begins with a detailed consultation and physical examination with an experienced doctor at our Harley Street clinic. We review your medical history, training habits, injury history, lifestyle factors, and performance goals to build a complete picture of your current health.
Cardiovascular and Fitness Evaluation
Exercise places increased demands on the cardiovascular system. This assessment includes detailed cardiovascular screening to identify risk factors and provide reassurance regarding heart health during physical activity.
Advanced Performance Blood Testing
A comprehensive blood testing panel helps evaluate factors that may affect exercise performance and recovery, including:
Iron status
Vitamin and nutritional markers
Metabolic health
Muscle and Inflammatory markers
Hormonal health where appropriate
Injury Prevention and Physical Health
The assessment considers musculoskeletal health, recovery, and factors that may contribute to fatigue, reduced performance, or increased injury risk.
Personalised Recommendations
Following your assessment, your doctor will review all findings and provide tailored recommendations to support performance, recovery, training goals, and long-term health.
Optimise Performance with Confidence
